Maxwood supplies superloo solutions

Maxwood has developed space-saving superloo solutions for new and refurbished commercial building projects.

Single units, complete with a toilet pan and washbasin for use by either gender, can be designed and manufactured by Maxwood to meet individual project requirements. Small in size but big in design, Maxwood’s innovative superloo range includes vanity suites with pan and basin combined in one linear unit, which also conceals unsightly pipework. A choice of compact basin with a small, removable base and concealed drain hole are also available for a clean, minimalist look that makes the most of limited interior space. In addition to specially designed products, Maxwood can advise superloo designers and specifiers on the effective use of mirrors, lighting and reflective surfaces to create the illusion of a larger space.

Superloos can be a practical solution for smaller buildings, increasing usable or rentable space and saving the cost of separate male or female facilities. According to Part G of the Building Regulations, if the number of employees based at a particular location is 10 or less, and there are two or fewer employees of one gender, then unisex washrooms, such as superloos, may be provided. This option can also be considered to provide private facilities for both male and female users in a building’s executive suite, for example.

Maxwood offers a complete supply and fit superloo package, including its Maxwall Duct Panelling system for quick and easy mounting of sanitaryware and concealing of pipework. Ducting units can be made-to-measure by Maxwood in a range of materials, including laminate, veneer, glass or tiles and delivered to site ready to install. Maxwall can also be used to produce partition walls between superloo units, giving Maxwood overall control of unit construction and reducing interfacing between other trades and sub-contractors. The use of Maxwall panels, which can be supplied hinged or lockable, also provides the benefit of easy access to service ducts for maintenance purposes.

Maxwood’s superloo solutions have been specified for a wide range of prestigious commercial projects, from the recently refurbished Denning House in central London to a landmark building overlooking Trafalgar Square. “Superloos are equally at home in a new office building or as part of a washroom refit,” says Andrew Taylor, Marketing Manager of Maxwood Washrooms. “Like all our washroom systems, Maxwood’s superloo solutions combine style with functionality and are designed to ensure the comfort, privacy and respect of all users.”
